The food was BOMB!!! Everything we had from the sourdough to the classic breakfast was great and very affordable prices. The coffee also was good! I would definitely come back to this spot. They also have a full bar and playground for the kids!

I dined here on a cold Saturday morning around 9:00 am and there was no wait! I was greeted at the door and I chose to sit at the bar since I was solo. The bartender/server greeted me after a quick glance at the menu and took my drink order. I ordered a double pomegranate mimosa because why not?! It was tasty and strong. I ordered the daily special, which was, at the time, the blackened salmon over grits with the crawfish cream sauce and scrambled eggs. Everything was hot and fresh. The salmon had a nice crisp on the edges as well. Will definitely return!

Still frequent this place for lunch and still never disappointed! We recently ventured out on the menu and I had the fried oyster toast with maque choux - so tasty! The servers are always so nice and honestly I love the casual but bustling diner vibe it has.

This was our 3rd visit before actually being seated. The first two visits had wait times over an hour each visit so we went elsewhere locally. On this visit, we were seated instantly at the bar due to limited seating available in the dining room. The bar service was great, quick, and easy! I ordered the chicken and waffles which was made to order and provided that perfect balance of salt and sweet. The cayenne butter added a nice touch. Coffee was refilled without asking. I would recommend getting reservations even for two if you want to dine in. Once seated, you will enjoy a good meal. Dine local! Enjoy.

This is one of my go to breakfast spots. Pancake pups are a must! My favorite dish is the steak and eggs. The lyonnaise potatoes are my favorite. Try the strawberry lemonade. You won't be disappointed. Staff is always friendly when I visit.

I was so excited when I saw they were opening a Toast in Gretna! Toast in Gentilly was one of the first brunch places I visited when I moved here and having in on the West Bank made it that much easier for me to get to! The new location is a great space with lots of dining space, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor space has a wonderful playground a gorgeous mural painted in the back. The indoor space is also cute and comfortable. During this visit we sat at the bar and got excellent service! Water was kept filled and the food came out very quickly! I love the good at Toast! The Abelskivers are my favorite especially with their homemade jam! Their toast is also super good, buttered on both sides and toasted. I could eat that alone, no need to add anything on top! But if you are feeling some of their Toast specials they are great options! Service: Service was great! Our water was kept full and out food was served quickly! Drinks: Full bar Happy Hour: None Parking: Mostly street parking. You just have to watch where you park so you're not blocking any driveways.

They have a very cute outdoors space for you to sit and wait for your table to be called. They also have a small playground area for children to play on with swings and slides and stuff like that. The food here is really good I ordered the fish and grits, and I am happy to report that it is actually catfish. The grits weren't too creamy either. The potatoes are also really good. I ordered mimosa which is $16 for a large and eight dollars for a regular. I ordered the hibiscus mimosa which tasted like a wine cooler, and it wasn't very strong. Make sure you get on reservation list early because they become very busy on Sundays. Expect to wait at least an hour probably two. My friends and I joined the waitlist when we woke up that Sunday morning and then got ready and went to the restaurant. We was called not too long after (20 minutes ) after we got there....two hours after joining the list.

Would definitely recommend this quaint little spot. There was no wait when we went. You can look ahead to be added to a waitlist. They are reasonable priced especially when you see the portions that you receive. I mean I feel like 2 ppl could have eaten of the catfish and grits and the crawfish toast. My husband made a clean plate with the crawfish toast. The catfish and grits is so savory and full of flavor. The pomegranate spritz was a little sweet for me but I had one of the best lattes ever there. The blood Mary was good too. Definitely recommend you trying this place out
